UPDATE ON JAYDEE
We just got back from up north last night. JayDee had his shunt removed on Friday. He did really well. The shunt was not working, so his body did not need time to wean off of the shunt. His body was already getting rid of the spinal fluid the way it is supposed to. He was brave and only had pain meds right after he woke up from surgery. He has not had anything for pain since Friday! This stay at the hospital was a breeze compared to last year. Josh stayed with JayDee at the room since I needed to feed and take care of Taylor. It was nice to stay at my mom's house. On Thursday we were able to go to the zoo. The boys had a lot of fun there. JD loved hanging out with uncle Bryson and Grandma Cluff. Jordan was afraid of any animals that were too close. I showed him a giant boa constrictor and as he put his face closer to the glass window, the snake moved his head toward Jordan and started flicking his tongue. Jordan screamed out like a lil girl and then the snake started hissing at him. It was so funny. Perfect timing. Bryson was scared too. I think he had nightmares! Jordan was afraid of the giraffes too because they were so big. He was walking around by himself inside the building where the giraffes eat and he looked up and saw how close they were and just freaked out. I love to see him scared. Oh- the other one was the rhinos. They were on the other side of glass too and when he first saw them he was trying to back away kind of saying no! Good memories.
I will post more later with pictures. JayDee starts preschool today. I hope he isn't too shy.

Hey there! I'm so happy to hear that everything went well. We've been thinking about you guys. I love your stories about Jordan at the zoo. I can't wait to see some pix of the adventures. Have a happy day!
That is great news! I'm so glad everything went well for JD, I only wish I could have been there.
I'm so out of the loop. What did he need a stint for?
That is so good to hear that he is doing so great!!! I hope that his first day of preschool goes good too!
