Today marks the seventh day of being in the hospital, or hospitals. What a whirlwind of a week. WOW! There is so much love and support that I am speechless. There are so many good people that we are surrounded with. We are truly blessed. We had a lot of fun visitors today. The
Nielson's visited from our ward! Kristy brought me lunch. Then the
Cluff's came. And Kelly brought flowers in a cute truck and me chocolates! YUM. Then we were surprised by my cousin Boon and his wife, Hailey. After I left, Tamarah and her girls came. Than
Chels, Kev, and baby
Kade. It was a great day of visitors. JD just isn't very talkative. He just wanted water all day. He has been
soo thirsty and it hurts me to tell him that he can't eat or drink anything. He just cries. The docs finally said he could have ice chips, one spoonful every hour. He was watching that big hand and let us know exactly when an hour was! Every half hour he would tell me he was thirsty again.
He had his moments today. He was MAD. He was throwing his animal friends and Lego stuff. I handed him stuff to throw and that made him more mad. It is funny to see him act out like that because he is such a good and mellow kid normally. I had to laugh, even though it is sad too.

Here is JD when he fell asleep playing last night, not long after his surgery.

Kelly visited while he was in surgery too. I love my
BFF! Thanks
Kel!
So surgery is postponed until maybe a month from now? Not sure yet, but JD has to be all healed and the docs have to work out their schedules. There are 2 different docs that work together, so it is hard to find a day they can both do it. It is so frustrating to have to rely so much on the docs. I do not want to wait that long and chance JD sick in the hospital again. I wish I had more say on the matter. Just drop everything and take care of MY little BOY! Before I lose my mind. Let's just say Josh is very mad. I will leave it at that! I have more tolerance in this area. I try to be understanding. It is getting very hard though. Well, hopefully JD will get to drink tomorrow and be a happier boy. We truly appreciate the love and support. It means so much and we could not do it without all of you! Prayers make a difference. There is POWER in prayer. I testify that.

You are all so strong! It's good to hear that you have so much faith and that you are getting so many wonderful visitors! I'm sorry to hear that they've postponed things again, that makes me angry too. I will pray that they can take care of him earlier. Good luck guys, we love you!!
You mean he gets to drink today?!!! Oh I hope so! You are such a good mom! I couldn't do what you do that's for sure.
It was so funny when you started telling him to throw things! Poor guy, he was making me so thirsty! I sure hope today is better!
