We are just waiting for JD to wake up. The docs are done and hopeful. Everything went better than they expected. No blood transfusion. They didn't have to remove his inner ear. They didn't have to take a piece of his skull from higher up on his head either. It is so nice to be done with this part of it. Thanks all for your thoughts and prayers. They help us more than you will ever know. He will be here for longer than a week. He has a lumbar drain, they have to keep that in for a week and then they will put in a shunt. So I am guessing we will be here for another 10-14 days. I am hopeful he will recover very fast!

I am so relieved for you, but I'm so sorry that you will have to be there for so long. We would do anything for you, just let us know! I'm glad that everything went better than expected. He is such a sweet boy and such a special child of our heavenly fathers. Hang in there and know that we are all praying for you and love you so much!!!
DeAnna, I am so glad that everything went well. I cry everytime I read your blog or any of your facebook posts. It makes me sad to hear that your little guy has had to endure so much and that you have to watch him go thru it and have no control over it. But, it makes me cry happy tears when you post all the miracles and successes he has had. I know that it is hard to go thru it all, but I know that Heavenly Father knows everything that you guys are going thru and I know that is where you guys have gotten your strength. You may not ever know what it is you or JD are to gain thru all this, but I'm sure it will only make him and you stronger. We are all still praying for a quick and happy recovery for JD. Let us know if you need anything. Love You Guys!!!
DeAnna, I will definitely get your bottle on our way tomorrow! You guys have been through so much, I am just so grateful that JD is through surgery! Can I bring anything else? I am going to track down your #. I will be in touch with you very soon. I will see you on Monday!
I ran across your blog after reading Pooba's.
I hope your little guy will be alright. What an experience.
